Cool Colored Remote Key Fob Covers

For "customization addicts" check this link- inexpensive, very good service, my orange cover will be here Thurs. so I can't vouch for quality yet but will post photo if it is good quality:

eBay Motors: Honda & Honda Goldwing Key Fob Cover, Accord, Remote (item 270166268339 end time Sep-24-07 17:44:03 PDT)

The ad that I ordered from listed Ridgeline, Fit, Prelude and others for the fit of the remote cover.

Good find! here is the actual link of the ones that fit our keys
eBay Motors: Honda Key Fob Cover, Remote Key Combo, Ridgeline, Fit (item 270131638330 end time Oct-11-07 08:04:27 PDT)

This is especially well if you have a few newer Honda's in the family. My other vehicle is an 03 Accord, its quite tough to tell which key is which when its inside my pocket.

Thanks for finding the right link! This is the only Honda in our family, bujt I just thought that an orange jacket on the key fob might look more interesting than the black one. $6.99, free shipping via Priority Mail (for US buyers anyway). I asked for confirmation on my color choice and the company owner replied right away.

I think he meant if his car was a color other than black, he'd pick one up to match the car. His car is black, his key is black, so no need. Unless I misread it.

Nifty find. How thick are these things? I already feel like the key is the size of a brick...I wouldn't want to bulk it up further.

I don't know the thickness yet, but I assume that they are identical to the stock "jacket" on the keys. For "Tool"'s black Fit, any color key jacket would look good.

Maybe you'd like and orange jacket for your black Fit's key-- you can decide when you see mine this weekend..........kind of a Halloween theme?

I believe a white jacket for my key would be really nice. Since i have a TW fit, white gearknob etc. white n black (the buttons would stand out a lot)

I lied about any color- they don't have white. I agree that it would be a good color for you. From a San Gabriel native.

I just picked up my colored "Key Jacket" today, and a "condom" is EXACTLY what it is- a soft squishy rubber sleeve with cutouts for the key buttons that form-fits to the key fob.

I had thought that it might be a harder plastic body that replaces the black plastic body of the stock key, but I was wrong. I like the fact that this is a cover, because it makes it harder for the little red alarm button to be accidentally pushed. I would like to personally shoot the engineer who decided that auto security systems needed to have a PANIC BUTTON. They serve absolutely no purpose other than to get accidentally pushed by your pocket change and set off the horn. These colored "Key Condoms" add a little thickness, and may reduce accidental alarms in the future.

This accidental alarm situation has happened at least 5 time with my Fit, and a dozen or more times with the Ford truck that I had previously.
