magic seats not so magic.... : (
I can't for the life of me figure out how to fold the front passenger seat all the way down so that it's level with the back seat. I've pretty sure I've moved the front seat all the way forward as much as possible and i've taken off the front seat head rest.....
However, when folding the seat to make it level with the back seat, it seems to always be about a couple of inches too long......

-The rear seats must be in the slight reclined position. Pull the lever (close to the pillar/window) and push the seats back.
-Pull the front seat all the way forward, recline the front seat back while STILL pulling the seat forward. Ive noticed that the seat tends to slide back a little bit.
-Push the backing of the front seat between the rear seats.
Every little inch counts.

Yup, it is a snug fit, but it works. Just follow Mx5GT89's instructions and you'll do fine. The other thing that might help, is that if you are finding it tough to force the front seat in line with the rear seat, you can lift up the rear seat a little bit and then pushing them down together kind of like a bridge...

Try to use the lever on the top of the seat back to move it forward as well. As others said, you have to push the seat all the way forward and hold it there as it will slide back. If you use the lever by the headrest you can hold it forward while pushing down. A lot of times I find I have to bang it in a little bit too. It's tricky but once you get it down once, it's easy.

UGH! A few of my friends asked "Whats this do?" while I was driving. Yea, wasnt pretty.
No rear passengers 99.9% of the time like me? Yank them rear headrests out... better visibility too, and the rear seats slam down no problem in 1 second.
I'll get pics once I get them. I might have to stain them also since Ive only seen a grey/black color. Not the deep black like factory.

I bought my Honda Jazz few weeks ago and I still can't move seats back even a little bit... I gave up after many tries. Maybe refresh mode is not available in european model (2006)? Does someone have step-by-step photos/movie how to recline and push back the seats?

the rear seats can be straight up or reclined about an inch(?). just pull on the handle that you would to fold the seat forward, but push the seat back to recline it instead.

Thanks for the tip! I was able to enjoy a refreshing nap in the parking structure at work while I pulled an all-nighter tonight for this deadline at work. I think I might just leave the passenger side in that position. The car just looks huuuuge when you sit back there and stretch out like that!
