Anybody know if they're authorized dealers of any of this stuff? I bought from an online vendor once and it didn't turn out so great...

Not authorized on most items, but they give their own 1 year warranty. It's one of the risks you take to save some money. I buy tons of stuff unauthorized online and haven't had trouble yet. I always do research on the vendor before I buy though.

i have bought TONS of stuff from sonicelectronix. I have 4-5 cars LOADED with there equipment (including my fit, 4 pioneer 3ways, audiobahn powered sub, avic-d3 coming soon) and i have never had a problem AND i always direct my friends to there website for audio equipment and they havn't had a problem either. They are like a cheaper version of crutchfield.com. There customer service is off the chain! there really helpful.

That amp is very nice, but fairly expensive for what you get.

Check out this bad boy. The Sundown SAZ-1500D.

SAZ-1500D Power Testing - SSA:

It sells for about $489 new, but the owner of the company has some used ones on ebay. I got mine for $287 which was an amazing deal for an amp this good.
eBay Seller: sundownz: Car Electronics, Consumer Electronics items on eBay.com

How is that amp in sq?

Im powering two kappa perfect tens since I get anything infinity at cost. And I might get the JL at cost too, I have just heard so much good about jl amps and the r.i.p.s. technology is pretty badass.

I hooked up the sundown to my brother's RE XXX 15 and it sounds great. I would say it would be impossible to tell a difference between the two amps in a blind matched volume test.

If you need 1000 watts at 4 ohms the JL would be the obvious choice(Since it does the same power at 1.5-4ohms), but at less than 4 ohms is starts to be alot of money per watt compared to other choices. What is the resistance of your subs? The sundown could easily kill your perfects with its ~1500 watts at 1 ohm, but it would be ok if you kept the gains down.

Im running them at 4 ohms each, going for that sq 8)...but want the bump there when I need it.

Other option im considering is just a 1 kappa perfect and the 500.1

or maybe 1 or 2 8w7s

4 ohms each...so you have them in parallel to the amp for 2 ohms total?

A guy I work with has two 8w7's. The hit pretty good for the size they are. However, one 12w7 has more cone area than two 8w7's. I'm not really a big fan of small subwoofers, lol.

Lol im mainly going for sq but somewhat boomy, thats why I want tens. And I was looking at the jl and it had two speaker outputs not just one so im just gonna run cables straight to each sub.

A large subwoofer can sound just as good if not better than a smaller one. With more cone area the sub doesn't have to move as much to create the same amount of output. The less it moves the more likely it is to stay linear. Many people people believe that 8's or 10's are "faster" than 15's, but a well designed speaker has enough motor for proper control.

*edit*
Oh, they are dual voice coil 4 ohms. So the coils are in series for 8 ohms on each speaker, and then the speakers are in parallel for a 4ohm load.
