the front knobs don't go on all the way. the kit has 4 of the prongs too far out, while the ones at the right size... don't reach the AC unit =[ everything is too far in by 3mm... =|

I applied my BS degree in Dremel application.... i shortened the 4 prongs which included 2 risers that seemed to align the AC unit, and i shortened the small socket.

Now it fits perfectly. Before the surgery, it was hard to get in, and this is the same on both units. I'm sure all the other people that had theirs installed, did what you guys said, and have a set of loose AC controls..

And I'm sure that Scosche guy wont be seeing this, as he doesn't even answer his emails, or his phone for that matter.

Now to wait to go to the electricians shop to get some shrinking conduit for my 4 RCA pairs going to the trunk =P

EDIT: after i get some rest, been up all night... 5:30am

If the kit doesn't fit due to manufacturer error then it is BS. Your comment is absolutely unnecessary.

Are you serious? Every time someone expresses concern for this product because they purchased it sight unseen you resort to petty bullshit comments. It shouldn't offend you, but you act like someone is calling out someone in your family. And just because you have installed two of them does not mean that there could be a defect in the kit that they received. So, why don't we see what happens with the rest of these kits before we bring out the 10% rule.

that really is uncalled for. if someone comes in here with a problem, we shouldn't attack them just because you didnt have that problem.

This guy is a joke. I think he only goes on these threads to bash those who have complaints with scosche. Besides, what Joe D said were facts, it has been delayed, it's almost twice the price, and some kits appear they have to be modified. then this guy responds with the mature comment of "change your tampon", like thats gonna do the OP and scosche any good.

What a turd.

So, 805FitBase, can you explain my photos? or do i have a headunit that is awkward.

This is damned awkward, cause my AC controls don't fit, it's my fault? there is something completely wrong, i purchased 2 because iw as planning on getting a second fit, and the price was right, and still is on a very durable piece of hardware (took me a while to cut through it)

The material is durable, but someone templated the faceplate wrong for the bottom mounts. After i cut it completely down, to the proper height, everything fell together without having to squeeze anything into place. =O

i'm not going to Scosche, i wanted this, and i got it. I'm happy with the fit it has, because it didn't require me to pull out some bondo.
