My new baby boy was just delivered today, spent the whole day at the hospital, stopped by the house to get a blanket, some food for my girlfriend, and will take the time to post the other accidents that scosche's QA made when this was being made.

Also, Manx is the reason why i post this up, i bet under normal conditions, i wouldnt even bother.

Hey Tony,
Congratulations!!!!! To both of you.
I am glad to see that there are other members who want to show how minor factory defects can be overcome to make the part usable. But when a factory part is clearly not made properly for our cars, we owe it to other members to make that absolutely clear, and KICK the crap out of the manufacturer until the defects are removed.

Do Scosche kits ever really fit? What system are you putting in there?

Hello everyone,
Steve here from Scosche. I am the project supervisor for kits and harnesses.
I want to thank you guys for the input on our Fit kit. After reading about some of the issues with the kit, we are investigating them.
We have found that a very very small number of kits were shipped with an incorrectly printed decal.
Any one who received a kit with the incorrectly printed decal will receive a new decal. Please call myself (800-363-4490 ext 178) or the Tech support #.800-621-3695 ext3 and we will get a new one shipped to you ASAP.
Also, there is an issue with the screw posts for the A/C control. We are working on this issue right now. I will keep you all updated as to what we find and how we are going to rectify the situation.
As you know not everyone or everything is perfect. Things occasionally get overlooked. The important thing is, how it is dealt with. We will do everything we can to get our customers satisfied.

Steve,

Appreciate you coming on here and posting. I was in touch with Graham about purchasing the kit and haven't heard back from him. It seems that I was lucky not to yet so that I can wait until all of the kinks are worked out.

It was kind of dissapointing that there was a lot of communication by your company at first, which then died. As you probably know, most of the people that will buy the kits are enthusiasts and most will be members here on FitFreak. I think that it's important to help the enthusiasts and appreciate you coming on here and trying to rectify the situation.

Hope everything works out for all of those that have received their kits so far!

Ryan

Nice! And from "SoCal" (a little far away from Orange County though). Its nice to see that the PE or PS are getting their hand dirty from time to time.

So the hacking and cutting that CuteBoi posted will HAVE to be done to the kit if we want to have it fit our cars? At least for the time being? Thanks.

The 2 bottom posts are the only ones that need to shortened. Cut them down 2.5mm and all should be good. We have modified a couple of kits and this simple mod will handle the fitment issue.

Our office hours are 8am-5pm M-F pacific time.

Thank you for stating there IS a problem, and it isn't just me.

I'll be looking forward to getting the OEM decals placed, cause they are nicer, and aren't so black.

They stand out more than normal.

Kinda ridiculous that this thing has issues right out of the gate...I'm glad they have said that they will rectify any issues though.

However, I have canceled my order for the time being until I find out exactly what is going on with the kit.

Has Scosche fixed the "2 bottom posts" issue?

Just curious because it's been over 6 months (maybe longer?) since this issue first surfaced. I'm interested in getting one and was wondering if I could get one that didn't need to be modified.

Apologies in advance if the answer to my question has already been addressed in one of the many Scosche related threads.
