I second the Skunk2 knob. Very heavy, perfectly shaped. I normally shift with just two fingers under normal conditions. The knob's weight helps the shifter land itself in the gates. Me like!!!

I have the arc ball knob but i haven't seen the t1r. as far as the arc...i think it is the best knob out there. yes skunk 2 is very nice but i think it is very common.

I have the T1R, its great, feels solid and improves shifting feel dramatically. It's counter sunk so shortens your throws by a little bit as well.

I have the T1R also. I only got it because of the titanium finish and I didnt want the OEM knob on my Mugen short shifter. I wanted the Eggo but AJ-R said it was discontinued.
I got the T1R for around $90 USD. Not cheap but not bad I guess?

Judging by the pic above, the T1R is a lot lighter in color. Almost like its washed out.
Sorry, my pics suck

You know i had the same question about the lighter knob too... but it does make a difference.

the heavier knob really helps the stick drop into gear versus putting into gear with the stock knob. I cant really explain it (i got the skunk2 knob) and the sticks floats and really feels like a knife cutting through hot butter... it sets the gears properly into place making the whole operation seem smoother.

plus when i used to hold the stick while driving i always felt the gears moving via vibrations. new knob i dont feel any of that

just my .02

wow....$90 for a shift knob?
ricers these days will buy anything "jdm"

i just bought a knob, identical to the arc, for $20 shipped...only because i was too lazy to go machiene on myself, lol. anymore than that is just ludicrous, in my opinion.

it's as crazy as the circuit hero guys charging $40shipped for a 3" stick tht's threaded....i want one, but screw paying THAT much for something so simple to make.

I dont know why I did it either. I didnt want just any knob on my Mugen shifter.

I enjoy my million dollar shiftknob. Thats what I call it.

Some buy the Skunk2 adapters over the Mugen short shifter. Reason? IDK.
It rather pay extra for the real deal.

i have the skunk2 ITR replica knob, the passwordjdm ti knob, and just got a mugen "dildo" knob. IMO the skunk2 knob is the best. it's heavy and goes RIGHT into gear. the passworkjdm knob is just TOO light. makes shifts feel very cheap and crappy. the mugen is inbetween the skunk and password knobs. it's a very different feel because of the shape. i really like it though. i'll take pix when i get my dslr camera in teh mail. hopefully tomorrow
