Door Trim Kits, questions,answers, photos

So I went to University Honda yesterday to pick up a Fit brochure. The brochure had this fold-out poster at the end of it that mentioned Fit owners can have factory colored panel trim for the interior. It had a picture of the steering wheel area and the dash portion right above the gauge clusters had what looked like a red color trim on it. Does anyone know more about that? I don't think I saw that as an option in the Honda site. Has anyone tried spray painting the interior door latches? How did it go?

hmm, looks like there's a lot of gap near the bottom of the trim where it comes in contact with the dash.

Thumbs up

I just installed both the dash and door panel trims in silver - it matches the exsisting radio face finish perfectly!
God bless 2 sided tape

You can't match the steering wheel color unless you have the base model though.

I thought about doin it when I get my fit. Now I see that it will turn out great. Was it expensive to get it dun at a body shop?

Well, I was getting a bunch of other stuff painted too (engine cover and JDM LED Signal mirrors) so the price was pretty good considering the amount of stuff i had to get painted,

Here's a couple pics of the door panels:

Left Front

Right Front

Right Rear

I haven't put the Meter trim piece on (the one above the dash) as I have to retape the double sided sticky.

Also forgot to post this:

Not going to paint it as i think the chrome stands out more!

Yea, I would leave the chrome or in car maker talk "bright" it does look better ther door trims look better than what the factory could ever do ! I will definately be gettin mine done.
Are all the pieces using the double stick tape?
