Just finished installing them this morning. They look awesome! Much cleaner than stickers that go on top IMO.

Did mine myself

Much cleaner (no gap) and a hell of a lot less $$$. Found spray paint that is very similar to VBP. Painted my intake manifold cover and had some left over.

Hey Tershel,

Looking at the pic below for reference, lets make the following assumptions:

right is the right side of pic; left is left side of pic.
back is towards the window; front is away from the window.

so right/front would be the right side of pic away from the window.

1) starting at the right/front you will insert a tiny flat head (put a cloth over it if you are worried about scratching the trim) between the console trim and the door arm rest. Pry out and to your right. You will see that there is a kind of plastic lip that connects the two together. The lip is part of the door arm rest and it slides into the console trim.

2) once that is done, place the flat tip screwdriver inbetween the console trim and the arm rest starting at the right/front and move towards the left front, pulling outwards. This will separate the console trim from the arm rest.

3) look underneath the arm rest (in the pic you would look on the bottom of the arm rest from underneath where my cd case is) you will see some tabs that connect the arm rest to the door. pry them out.

4) at this point you should be able to pry out the arm rest from the door. The console trim will still be attached to the door but you will have access to underneath.

5) remove the pin connectors that connect to the switch.

6) looking underneath the console trim you will see that the switch is connected to the console trim via tiny phillips screws. The pic below has 3 screws (1 on the right side of the pic or front, 2 in the back). the other console trims only have 2 screws.

7) remove the screws with a tiny phillips screwdriver. you may have to pull up on the console trim to gain access to the other side (close to the door) but don't pull too hard.

8) remove the switch from the console.

9) now you should only see the console trim attached to the door by itself. moving the trim up and down (gently) you will notice that it is connected to the door by three clips. 1 clip is on the right side of the pic. it connects the trim to the black plastic door piece (you will see what i'm talking about). the other 2 are on the left and right ends facing the back. They connect the trim to the felt panel of the door.

10) looking under the trim, find the tabs. the one towards the back can be pryed out by pushing from the back outward (thats the easy one). The other two you will have to carefully insert your flathead between the console trim and the door and pry up (towards the roof).

Now you just have to do this for the other 3 doors

It sounds like a pain but it only took me 5 minutes of careful poking for each door. Not as bad as it sounds.

Any ?'s let me know.

I was worried about wear and tear too since it is in an area that is touched often, so I got it painted at a body shop with professional grade paint and clear coat. It costs a bit more, but it was well worth it IMO.

No problems. The paint is awesome. I have had them on for a week now and they have held up fine. No clearcoat. 4-5 coats with a 30 minute wait time between each one. Let cure overnight before re-assembly. You could certaintly prime first and clearcoat after if you wish. I didn't but that's just me.
