I just unclipped mine. theres like a metal spring clip. I took it off after taking out the bolt. I unplugged the sensors first. Mine didnt pop. seats are fine/airbags fine. I did this in july of last year.

Bride/Spoon seats

Has anyone sat in the JDM seats, even though they are the COOLEST I

have heard from several people that they are extremely small, like 26 in.

waist small. I am a 32 in waist and I have heard I would be miserable on

them. Does anyone have these or ridden in something that does. I love

the Spoon reclinable seat.

all seats are different. some are made wider than others. dimensions of seats are shown online where you purchase or on manufacturers website.

BTW google knows all.

i think youll be fine in most seats, if the seats were made only for people with 26 inch waists, they wouldnt make much money. 32 waist is pretty average. Ive sat in a S2000 with some BRIDE seats OMG they were so comfortable, im about a 30 in waist and i fit with a little room to spare.

I'm agreed that 32" waist is quite common. For seat choices u also have OMP/Sparco or even used Recaro SR3/SRD. All these aren't so expensive and they look good in a Fit.

For myself I went with a Recaro SPG bucket w/Bride rails(FO type as I remember). They're very comfortable also for daily & long highway driving after i adjusted the side mount bolts to the height I wanted. I've been using this bucket seat for quite a few years for daily driving & track day events and the paddings are still in great condition instead of all faded out. So I strongly recommend you to find a set or one new/used recaro SR3/SRD if possible.

How easy to installing DC5 recaro seats

Advice needed.....

before i travel 300 miles to pick up a set of recaro seats..from a 2001 JDM Honda integra DC5 Type R....

how difficult is it to swap the recaro seats into a JDM Fit? what sort of modification is needed?

I've seen DC2 seat swaps... has anyone done it with DC5 seats?

I do not currently have side airbags in the Fit so the warning lamp in the dash will not be illuminated.

any help will be greatly appriciated..

i'm in the process of doing that also, but dc5 recaros are bottom mount, and all aftermarket rails i found so far are side mount

Civic Si Seats

Does anyone know if the seats from an 06 Civic Si will fit in the Fit?
I was also wondering about the seats from an 03 Civic Si hatch. Any knowledge on this would be appreciated!

I'd go with either the 06 Si seats or the RSX seats. Despite the leather, the RSX seats are pretty much the same as the 03 Si seats, but they don't have that hole in the headrest. I found that uncomfy.

You should check the height of the seats too. I don't think the overall seating position would be higher than the Fit's seats, but you never know. And of course, you'll need custom seat mounts, which shouldn't be a big deal.

I actually wished that our seats had a hole like where their hole is at.

Do any of you happen to know who or where I can have this done? I live in central Illinois so I am not blessed with all both Coasts have at their disposal.
