Really, check out maxdax.com and others mentioned on this site as alternatives to the $300(!) armrest. $78 and $90, to mention two. If you're looking for a place to set your elbow, others do this just fine, and look just fine doing it. Save the $200 and apply it toward other gear.

Assume this is the unit you bought? Looks clean and simple -- I've asked for pricing etc. -- they don't have any info. on this page other than the photo and basic description.

Do they accept Paypal for payment?

How long did it take to get it?

Later,
Bill

center console from maxdax

Bill,
The armrest on the link you provided is the one I bought. It took a week to get (NY), but he, Leng, says several weeks to cover himself with Customs. It was $36 plus $52 shipping (which, according to the stamp on the box was actually $59). He takes Paypal and is quick to respond to any questions. It comes with 4 screws to install, but I lined the openings in console with sticky packing foam and just jammed it in -- no holes and totally secure, no wobbling. And it does appear to be real leather on top like site says.

Hi
Your right, there's no price info on the web site, Maxdax responds
via e-mail as I believe they are not actually a store.
Leng is the person you want to speak with.
I know they accept Western Union which you can locate at almost any drug store or Stop & Shop food store.

Thanks for the replies -- that's still a good deal, although the shipping cost is high, considering the price of the armrest itself.

Now, if I cna only get a few more dollars in my Paypal account, I'll be all set

Later,
Bill

The shipping cost may be high (it is coming from Singapore; I have the postal sticker from my shipment -- $59 air), but the cost of the armrest itself is ridiculously low. It's the total that counts, and that's less than a third of that other armrest people are waiting for, which replaces the entire existing console so you have a place to rest your arm (?!).

you have to consider the fact that it is a large item to ship. That should add up the additional charges. Damn good installation video on that site btw

This one from Singapore looks slightly different from the Zeta one from the picutres on their site. This one looks like it has slots for coins too (nice). Is it wide enough to hold CD's inside??

I sent my maxdax order yesterday -- a good deal in Canadian dollars $88.00 inlcuding standard snail mail for delivery -- total cost is what counts, and to me this is the best deal around. Paid using Paypal.

I wanted it for comfort, and to put CDs into -- don't like them in the glove box, or where they clatter in front of the shifter.

Later,
Bill

PS: Thanks again for the info. They have a video for installation?

Evidently they have an installation video -- have not seen myself. But, it is this easy: Instead of using the screws provided to fix to the existing console, just partially line the two existing wells that the armrest slots into with sticky packing foam; the fit is tight enough that all you need to do then is press the armrest down firmly and it will be secure -- works for me, and no holes; took thirty seconds. The box does hold CD's, in a well in the center that mates with a depression on the lid; you'll need to rig something on the sides to keep them from flopping around -- an eyeglass case or such will do. You might even find something with slots that would fit into the well.

Anyone get an ETA on the armrest? I emailed College Hills Honda a while ago and haven't received a response. Maybe someone else here has received word from them.

I called them last week and they only thing they could tell me was that they hadn't received them in yet.

With all due respect... The above quote doesn't make sense... According to College Hills Honda's webpage when the armrest were available, College Hills Honda mentioned that there was a set amount on the way from Australia and they would go to the first Buyers/Pre Orderers. So for him (Paul) to mention that he's checking on availability means that the armrests were never actually on route to the US.

Does anyone know if there is any difference between the console that College Hills Honda offers:

http://www.collegehillshonda.com/hon...port_parts.htm

and the one A & J Racing offers?

no difference, the console is universal for AT and MT, college hills shows an AT, while aj-racing shows the console by itself

With little due respect ! They take pre-orders, then they place the order thus the word "pre". This is the second round of pre-orders maybe thats where you got confused. He told me he has enough to place an order ( from Aus.) but he wasn't sure if they had them in stock. He has to order multiple units in order for it to be worth his while. Hope that straightens out your confusion.
