JDM passenger sun visor compare / install!

Well, i searched and searched and nobody has pix of the comparison of the USDM and JDM / THDM (thailand domestic market) visor so i decided 2 make one for future references.

First off, before anybody asks, the visor i have is from Honda of thailand (authentic) so it is different then the authentic one from japan (even tho it's authentic honda). The one from japan has the japanese writing and the pocket is small n square on the "closed" side. This is long and open on both ends.

differences:
1) Material is SOFT like older honda visors. It's not a vinyl wrapped piece of cardboard.
2) Texture is just a little different (less grainy)
3) has a pocket on the "closed" side for ur bills.
4) no stickers

Similarities:
1) color is exact, no difference there
2) Exactly same size fit and quality (cuz it's authentic)

Install n pix: (sorry ignore date on camera)
1) use flat head screwdriver n unscrew 2 holes from oem visor
2) use flathead screwdriver to reinstall the screws w/ the new visor
3) Go have a beer (even tho i don't drink )

It looks really nice! The mirror on the back also looks bigger than the JDM version? Anyways, I have been waiting for mine to reach my doorstep since November of 2006!!!!! I can't recall just how many freaking arguements I had with my dear wife in regards to this already. Anyways, congrat to you. I am sure your passenger would enjoy it very much.

Dood! Same here! My gf complains the most about not having a mirror on the passenger side. I also got the shade from a vendor in Thailand and it STILL hasn't shown up! He ended up posting another one to me, but I have yet to receive it I ordered mine in January!!!

ouch that sucks. gotta be up to par on those ebay guys lol. yeah i might sell mine cuz i do like the whole mirror thing but the only thing it bothers the hell outa me is that the material is not styrofoam like our OEM USDM visor and it's like the older civic style w/ a wire frame and foam on the inside. i know i am very anal about little details like that.

Did you ever think about just replacing both sides so they are the same?

I am a little confused reagarding the texture of the new one. Would you be able to take a Macro picture of each to show the differences?

wassup ken. I just realized that u sent me a message on ebay. Well i have been on fitfreak for almost a year now lol. U found my page before i could send u the link. The texture is only when u touch it. one feels like 120 grit sandpaper the other feels like 80 grit sandpaper. Easiest way to compare it. lol.

thanks for the pics and info Mugen_dom.
actually, I think all USDM roofliner including the visors are this light gray color. Ill have to double check on mine.
Edit: all USDM Fit's should use the gray colored visors. Beige are for foreign Fit's which include beige dash parts etc.

Does anyone know of a source for the THDM passenger visors? I like the fact the there's no stickers.

TIA,
Eric
