Headunit Removal

Hey guys, I'm wondering if anyone has taken the headunit out of the USDM Fit. What i want to do is Carbon Fiber the silver accent on the unit. I'm curious on how difficult it is and how long it takes. If someone even has step by step diagrams it'd be awesome!! Thanks!!

(I want the silver accent to be Carbon Fiber)

the easiest part of the install is UP TO the part where it says "pull center panel forward..."

There is no "pull center forward" it's "pry, creak, swear, curse and give up after trying for an hour..."

I managed to connect my Dension Icelink without removing the radio unit. After 3 hrs of trying, god stepped in and helped me do it. It was a tight squeeze without removing the radio.

Thanks to this, I will NOT be attempting to remove the headunit unless it breaks-down or something... thank god for his help and may he have mercy on my sliced up, scratched up right hand that was injured in the process...

exactly, its the pull center forward. there are these clips behind the unit that are extremely hard to reach/pry. everything else was easy. good luck on your install.
