Lightbulb Interesting 3 color H4 bulbs from Philips!

Just ordered a pair of these, since I'm concerned with how well
a hid kit might work in our fit with glare and what not, so I ordered
a pair of these.

  • The Safety Zone. See better/Anticipate better.
NightGuide generates a focused and brilliantly “white lit” hot spot for your car. With a light projection that provides 50% more light on the road compared to standard lamps, this hot spot is located at approximately 75 meters from your car.
  • The Comfort Zone. More Focus on the Safety Zone/More visual comfort for oncoming drivers. The subtle yellow light of the Comfort Zone encourages today’s driver to focus more on his/her Safety Zone while at the same time providing a warm light for oncoming drivers.
  • The Information Zone. Better road sign visibility. The brilliant blue light of our Information Zone provides better road sign visibility at that time and position when the driver most needs this information.

Are you sure you ordered the right one for fit? Because on its website, H4 is not listed. If in deed it's avabile, please tell me where i can get it since I'm interested too.

Just don't get the ones for the UK, or your lighting will be backwards!

I think you are thinking about headlight housing themselves, not the bulbs.

To my knowledge, bulbs are not designed for LHD or RHD vehicles...if that were the case, there would be bulbs specifically for the left headlight and right headlight!!!!

Look at the 2nd picture,
how would the "information zone" work if you drive on the other
side of the street?

Ah yes, i didn't think about that

Anyways, i checked out the Philips website and notice this disclaimer:

* Warning : NightGuide should not be used in the U.K. The effects would be reversed.
So, I guess LHD cars don't have anything to worry about!

Interesting post...

I found them for sale at bulbs.com (9003) for $15 a piece. I might give them a try.

I just installed them. They look good. I will try to take some pictures tonite.
My first impression was, I have some weak hid lights!
They do project the 3 colors they claim. I also notice the light is projected a little further down the road. I think I will need to adjust my headlight aiming, I am tall, and I find the light is pointed to down for my heights, It lights up the pavement right in front of the bumper.

Thumbs up

I'm afraid my camera doesn't photograph the colors, it all looks yellow,
in person I can see the blue, white and yellow. And for a retail price of about $8 euros, you can't beat it.

About how much brighter than stock halogens do you think the Philips are?

Philips claims they are about 50% brighter then standard halogen h4.
I say they are significantly brighter, maybe 30%
The stock bulbs aren't cheapo halogen, they are pretty decent.
