Preferred method for yellow fogs.

Preferred method for yellow fogs.
Hey guys, is there a preferred or "better" method for yellow fogs? I see some people do film over the glass and I've also seen yellow bulbs for sale. Is either method preferable or is it 100% preference?

Its preference IMO. I went for film sold by headlight armor. It's good, thick and easy enough to install. No need to take out the housing but it would be easier if you do. Some do the film and also change bulbs. Be careful though as high temp may cause burn in on your fog lights.

Your welcome. Headlight armor doesn't recommend replacing your fog lights. But if you do I would just make sure it's the same temp with the stock ones. There are yellow fog lights that have stock output so it should be safe but once you put the yellow film on it looks good. Good luck with the install.

So is the heat issue not a big deal then if you just go with stock light output? I'm not really looking to up the light output. I was just going yellow for looks. I figured since the stock fog lights were basically useless to me, i might as well make them look cool lol. One of the reasons i was leaning towards bulbs is because I was thinking about converting from the '12-'13 bumper to an '09-'11 bumper. I was hoping the bulbs would be reusable in the 09-11 fog light housing. (I haven't looked in to it though, so i suppose they could be different bulbs at which point it doesn't matter.)

Not sure why you quoted me, but I had the same film you did, and from the same guy. Mine burned. Badly too, but my lights are on everytime I drive though.

Did you put a vinyl conditioner like once a month? I just read before i bought the headlight armor film that they recommend using a vinyl conditioner once or twice a month after you wash the car.
