Independent Fog Light (First Post has answer!)
#302
I did find the relay, however. It is on top of the fuse box, in the little group of 2 independent relays.
It should be easy to make the lights come on all the time with the key on.
However, i am looking for control via the switch, and keeping them on with the high beams.

For 1st generation USDM Fits. I did the modification to the harness on the steering column (cut the red/yellow wire) and connected it to the under dash fuse box location 26 (radio). I tested it without grounding the fog light relay and the fogs work completely independently (turn on) except when the high beams are on. Seeing as I don't have to use high beams much I figure it's good enough for me but I would like to know if there's any danger in not grounding the fog light relay (red/white wire from the bottom right relay in the under hood fuse box). Any thoughts?

Does anyone know if I do just the second half of this mod (ground the fog light relay) will my fogs still stay on when my brights turn on?
I don't care to have the fogs turn on with no other lights turned on, I just want them with brights. Anyone know?
ps- the reason is i just can't see myself wanting to have to separately turn off the fogs whenever I want my headlights off.
