Okay, I have to do this. But how do you get the LEDs out into the door handle? Underneath? Drilling?

Yes, for all the other cars i did this to, i used the Dome Light... But....
for our car... When the car is unlocked, the interior lights do not come on
until the door is opened...

Tiny LED Modules : High brightness surface LEDs

Used LED Modules from Oznium.com

You can drill and place single LEDs in but thats a lot of work...

Sweetness. That does look like a lot of work, but I'm certainly down to try. Added another project to the list! Thanks!

Well, its simple on like all other cars ive done it on, just tap into
the Dome Lights...

But like i have stated before, when the car is unlocked the interior lights
DO NOT turn on until the door is opened...

so i am asking where i need to tap in to accomplish this...

I'm not sure how it is in the new Fits, in my GD the dome light comes on at something like half power when you unlock the car. It might only do that if the dome light switch is turned to on or auto and not to off. Not sure. I remember there was a wire at the very upper left of the fuse box, but I understand probably none of this applies to you. Sorry.

Really? mine (2008 Fit Sport) comes on when I use the remote to unlock it and stays on for quite a while before going out.

Well, I know that the Fits don't do dome light supervision stock. But I do know that many alarms that are installed aftermarket have the ability to do this. I will be installing my Viper 5701V in two weeks (with the next paycheck) and I will be doing dome light supervision. That simply allows you to tap the alarm brain into the dome light, and when you unlock it will turn on the dome light until the car has been started, or it times out, which ever happens.

Therefore, whatever is tapped into the dome light will turn on. My problem is that I'm also going to be tapping the dome light wire to turn on some other lights, like door sill LEDs and courtesy lights under the driver and passenger side. I only want these to turn on when the doors open. I was planning on tapping the dome light wire for these, but I'll probably have to rig a relay up with the door triggers instead. I'll let you guys know what I figure out.

For the courtesy lights, you could use Adjustable Door / Hood Pin Switch. Wire your lights to a constant hot fuse and run it through the switch.

I was thinking about doing something like that for my car as well. Would be a fairly straightforward install, just need to find the right fuse to tap into.

Just wanna point out on my 08 Fit that does do this I do not have any aftermarket alarm installed, but I do have the factory alarm that comes installed in all the Sport models for GD3's.
