do you have any idea where your friend got it from? and what makes it light up? leds? glow in the dark paint?

it's just a really thick license plate frame with a light behind the license plate, the letters and the numbers are transparent. my buddy has one, im not a huge fan of them but they do go for a pretty penny, about $100+ used.

NO you cannot but i have had no trouble with cops. i even had one comment on it saying he liked it and that was it. but i mine set up to where i can put my regular plate on and i can take the illuminated plate off when i dont want it on

Thats so unique!!!
But all the more easier for the cops to see your plate when you are flying down the road and they are taking pics of you with their speed cameras.

Here in Norway you will be pulled over by police and get a ticket for driving with fake license plates even if they have the same number as the original one. The original one even have a hologram thing into the white paint between the numbers. If the hologram is not there the license plate will be taken off and your car towed in...
I think the same law apply for all EU countries.

Cruel world...

But I would love to have one that says F0NIX and I could use them when I was parked and at car meetings.

has anyone considered painting on like a clear glow in the dark paint over your plates number to make it glow? just a thought.
