HID Glare. fix?

Is there a way to fix the glare from Aftermarket HID's... just wondering..

I think i'll need to adjust my headlights back down. For the sake of oncoming traffic.

Unfortunately, the only fix that I know of would be custom retrofit. Meaning, getting projectors from OEM HID and fabricate them into your headlight housing.

hmm. I will try aiming the headlights a little lower. I raised them up when i had the stock bulbs in there. I now have HID fogs, and HID headlights 6K each... Needless to say, I can see EVERYTHING!

6000K each??? Wow. retrofitting is probably the only way then. With 12,000K on the road, you can't help but have glare. I've got 6000K headlights and 3000K foglights and i've had no problems with glare. There's a guy that i pass everyday on the way to work with a Passat adn he's got 6000K headlights and foglights and i can see how much glare he's getting from the opposite direction!!

They are bright, but I haven't seen much glare out of them. I notice it has a pretty good cut line and not much ghosts, but it definitly gets some people to flash their brights at me some times.

Did you make sure your kit has D2R bulbs?

Even with those, since our headlamp housings weren't designed for HID, there is going to be some glare.

Only thing is that those projector lamps won't fit our USDM cars....

As for the suggestion on D2S... did you mean D2R? As D2S is meant for projectors, and D2R for reflectors? Correct me if im wrong though...

Who suggested D2S?

I asked if he made sure his bulbs were in fact D2R because that's the bulb type the Fit housing needs. You are correct; D2S is for projector housing headlamps.

I have yet to get high beamed with my HID kit. Ive had it for a while now. 4300K D2S capsules.

Everyone always asks me if my headlights were designed for HID's because the cut off is so crisp and the little amount of glare. The Fit headlights are a GREAT designed.

I even have a deep purple/blue hue in the cut off. Thats almost unheard of with a reflective housing VS projections.

Its all in the height adjustments.

the only way to "reduce" glare i can think of is by using a Casper Shield and a D2R bulb.

The USDM Bumper has the 5mph Crash Bumper behind it, because of retarded American laws, this makes the bumper longer(about 4-5") because of that the fenders are long and the headlights are longer the hood is longer everything is longer.
