A twenty-year difference (saying hello) . . .
. . . in model year from my first Honda to the one I just picked up last week.
I've gone back and forth on what I want to say here other than 'hello' -- until today. The last several days I've spent just getting to know the newest addition -- an '08 Sport so I've been rather skeptical and guarded through the first hundred miles.
But, in the meantime:
* This thing drives like a Honda.
* This thing sounds like a Honda.
* This thing feels like a Honda.
Morse code 'H' when key's in the ignition and the door is opened. D-series growl under acceleration. Being able to turn 90 degrees to the road and back it into my driveway without having to think about it.
And . . . working the paddles and feeling the old instincts kick in.
Yeah . . . I'd say a part of me's been dormant too long. That, I guess, is what I wanted to say.
