competition driving school=only good money I ever spent on 'go-fast' anything. Taught me what fast really is and that it has no place on the street.
That said, moding your car is still fun. Sometimes it is like stamping your signature on your car to make it your own. Lightweight wheels first is what I say, then maybe intake and exhaust. Spend a few gazillion hours on this forum and check out what the others are doing--it will save you money. Stay away from cheap E-bay 'free horsepower' rubbish. Use the search feature here and we welcome 'noobs'.

We suggested SEARCH. That's all you need. You say you're a noob yet every suggestion we make to help you with you counter. So if you want high end parts look at Spoon, Mugen, J's Racing, and T1R. There are others out there but you seem to want high end. Since you know the brand you want, you can search for the info that you need and ask questions in the right threads.

Don't go and do things that will majorly affect the drivibility and enjoyability of the car. Don't slam the suspension, it will ride like ass. Don't do a full race setup on the exhaust is a tasteful rear section will do. The more resonators and mufflers you take off of this car the raspier and "ricerier" it's probably going to sound..and it will drone like a bitch.
um..mostly NEVER buy anything off EBAY before doing a substantial amount of research on it and what it does...you'll be sorry.
remember: you bought the auto fit with 80hp at the wheels..don't under circumstances be lulled into thinking you have a hot rod. It's a great car..but "fast" it is not.

I don't think anybody has dyno tested spoon or mugen parts on this forum. Those two make drop in air cleaner elements for BIG$$ and spoon makes a big $ muffler. Both are notorious for bang-to-buck ratio and I think a lot of us are looking at names like Injen, Fujita, and T1R for dyno proven intakes. Haven't seen much in the way of dyno tested exhaust parts without intake instal in the mix.
