*New Member Here* 2012 Honda Fit Sport

I recently just bought this Fit about a month ago and loving it! Gas mileage rocks, cargo space, the inside and outside's awesome! But sadly its an auto, yeah I know, sometimes I get lazy at driving manual and decided to get an auto.

Did some stuff to it, nothing much but a good start.

-Mugen Visors
-4300k HID
-3000k HID/Yellow film
-Husky all season floor mats
-Yakima roof bike rack(For sale $280, Pm me if your interested. Willing to ship too but you pay for shipping)

Future plans
-Bi xenon Morimoto H1 retrofit
-Coilovers
-Tint

This is the only picture I have for now, will take some when I have time.

Yea, I've been looking around and there's hid light bulbs and there's the whole kit and stuff. I'm not a car savvy guy so I'm not sure which one. Can I just plug in an hid light bulb from sylvannia or something? Thanks.

Yeah you can, but don't waste your money on it. Get HID instead. If you still want high beam for the hids, you'll have to get what they call "bi-xenon" h4 hid kit. It'll cost more for the bi-xenon. If you just get the regular H4 hid kit, it'll cost less but just with low beam, no high beam.

Not just that, Our cars have the DRL(DayTime Running Lights). After the install of the hid's, the DRL wont function right with the hid's so to fix that, you'll have to take the fuse for the DRL out to fix that problem.(It happen to me for my bi-xenon kit, I dont know about the regular H4 kit but I'm positive it'll do the same)

What the problem is, is that after the install, there's going to be a annoying buzzing noise thats on, the annoying DRL light on the cluster, the hid's flickers, and turns on because of the DRL. To fix that is to remove the DRL fuse. With the fuse remove, you wont have the DRL anymore.

If you just use those sylvania bulbs, you wont have that problem. It'll give you better light output than the stock ones but hid's put out more than the sylvania bulbs.

These are from what I experience, If I wrong, correct me guys.

hey there,

All this talk of HID kits...I want you to know that purchasing a HID kit and installing those lights in your stock set up....Meaning without further modification to your headlights....is complete garbage.

HID lights in higher end cars have specially designed bulb housings made specifically for HID kits. Our Fits are designed and made for regular bulbs. You will be spending a lot of money for a bulb that looks a little whiter but does not perform better. The HID kits require a special housing in order to project the light better. Please don't waste you money....

As well the extra electricity used by HID kits can and will burn out your factory wires...
