Hi Alex.. I haven't seen anyone post here from Argentina yet though there was a guy that posted pictures of his Fit from Brazil... Is your Brazilian made car set up to run on both ethanol and (or) gasoline? I have owned an 82 Accord and a few Honda motorcycles from 50cc to 1800cc displacement but my Fit is the only one that I have thought of as being fun to own... They all have been very reliable... Welcome to FitFreak..

Hi coyote thank you for the welcome. The Fits that are sold in Argentina are from Brazil. I have a2009 EXL that are moved by gas only, in Brazil they have the flex motors that uses gas o ethanol, here in Argentina we dont have ethanol, we have propane gas, that are usted by the public transport and diésel fuel.
My fit is the top of the line version , with leather seats, paddle shift digital climate control , abs, 5 16 pounces wheels 1 is the spare wheel.
Few days ago, Honda of Brazil launched the 2013 version click here to see it. http://autoinfoargentina.blogspot.co...eticos-se.html
Best regards Alex

I checked out the link that you posted... We only get 4 choices here, the Base Model with manual transmission or automatic and the Sport Model with manual or automatic... There isn't a leather upholstery option or climate control either... The US domestic market Fits have extended bumpers to meet government mandated safety standards... They are a problem on the Sport models because the front bumper is constantly scraping when entering driveways and can be torn loose from where they mount to the fenders.. I find it to be annoying but a lot of the younger guys lower the suspensions on their cars for a sportier look... I have installed a Buddy Club coilover suspension kit on my car but unlike most people that have done that my reason was to adjust it at just over stock height to prevent damage to the front bumper.. I have an older model (2007) Sport model I bought in 2006..

The sport bumpers look great, but they are ,as you have said, extreme exposed to scuffs and dents . Your Fit is manual or has Cvt transmission?

My car has manual transmission.. The CVT isn't sold here, the 5 speed automatic and manual is the only choices... We can only get the 16 valve 1500cc L15A engine here also... I am probably one of the few people here on FF that would be open to the idea of having a car with CVT... I sure do like the way they work on motor scooters..

The Cvt its better than the the automatic transmission that Honda is selling now, i think that in Japan the Cvt its back again, its faster, improves fuel consumption and its cheaper to repair, my mother in law bought one in 2007 with Cvt transmission i drove it , much better than the auto gear i have now in my fit.

Cat has a very meticulously detailed Fit with very tasteful well executed modifications and the trophies to prove it..... The old 48 Buicks had what was called a Dyna Flow transmission that was much more complicated than a modern CVT but the transfer of power was very much the same....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynaflow.... Those big old cars sounded like powerful motorboats when they took off from a stop and the transmissions weren't at all efficient like the CVTs are today.
