Hello, just got an 09 fit to replace my trusty 90 civic...
...so i guess that makes me a "new" fit owner. I actually thought about the car when it came out, and kept putting it off, but Honda hasn't come out with a decent hatchback since... just horrible things with no room or rear visibility.
The Fit has both in droves. I can fit my bike in it. Or a fridge or record cabinet. It is a fun car, excellent so far, even tho mine is a slightly used '09, and well and truly lives up to the ideal of practicality embodied by my '90 Civic. Plus having aluminum rims and such, it's a tad more fun.
Probably have typical newbie owner questions... For now, thansk that this website exists, and thanks that Honda still makes a stick shift hatchback. My '90 civic is proud.

Thank you. The car is new to me although not "new" but the dealer my family's used since like '85 couldn't find a stick shift Fit an anything but black. Got the shiny blue '09 elsewhere and never looked back but it is funny how much it resembles a modern civic. (still have the civic refuse to part with it, I learned how to drive on one.)
