Another new Fit Sport owner here!
Hi all,
Just wanted to drop by and quickly introduce myself. This past Sunday, I took delivery of a 2008 Fit Sport 5MT in VBP, and I love it! Pics soon... I'm a hobbyist automotive photographer, so hopefully I can make my bone stock Fit look OK.
Anyway, as a bit of background, I grew up with Hondas all the way from 1991-2005, with only a slight detour in there to Toyota. First car was a 1990 Civic HB (the base 70hp model!), which was hand's down my favorite car I've ever owned. Didn't have much under the hood, but it served me and my passengers well for the better part of 9 years.
Other Hondas have included an 00 AV6 coupe (TW), 00 Si (EBP), and 01 AV6 sedan (SSM). I've also owned an 05 STI and 06 WRX Wagon, and am still very active on NASIOC.com and the other Subie forums.
I tend to change cars like I change shoes, but I'm going to stay with the Fit for the long haul. It reminds me so much of my first car, and I know it will serve me well. After less than 3 days of ownership, it just feels right.
Anyway, glad to be here, and looking forward to getting to know the crew (and spending lots of money on mods ).

lol. i too had the base model civic hatch, i believe it was deemed the STD (standard). 70hp? haha. didn't realize it was that high!! you will really enjoy this car if that was your favoirte. the fit is a bit bigger, but full of wonderful tricks the older hatch didn't have.
anyway, welcome to the club and enjoy the car!

Thanks for the very warm welcome, everyone (and sorry for posting in the wrong subforum).
Day 4 and I'm just loving it. My coworkers who have ridden in it with me to lunch/dinner are also very impressed with it, and three of them, who are also Civic and CR-V owners, are thinking of getting one, too. They were pretty shocked at how quiet it is riding around town, and when they saw the nifty rear seat configurations, that was cool to see their reactions as well.
All in all, this car is fantastic, and I've already made my first "mod" purchase, which includes the JDM center console/armrest assembly from AJR (thanks, Ben!). Why we don't get that in the US, I have no idea!
