New here... wanted to say hi! :-)
Hello everyone,
I happened to stumble on this site while doing a google search on the Fit. I currently own a heavily modified carbon fiber accented 2000 BMW 323i which was my daily driver and show car but now I want to take miles off the car (also protect my mods from getting damaged from normal daily driving) and get a dedicated daily driver - I've decided the Fit would be the perfect car for me.
I'm kinda torn right now with the color choice... I've narrowed it to 2 choices - blaze orange metallic or the vivid blue pearl. I do like the fact that the orange is exclusive to the sport model (which I'm planning on purchasing). Also, down the line if I do decide to put carbon fiber accents, both the orange and blue Fits seem to look the best with black carbon fiber mods.
Here's some pics of my BMW 323i from a recent magazine photoshoot - my car will be in its first full feature in a major car magazine (can't say which one now but will let you all know when it's out).
By the way, the reason why I love carbon fiber so much is because my heart is partly mechanical and made of carbon fiber, hence the material is literally keeping me alive. Since I consider my BMW and extension of me in a sense, I chose to have a black carbon fiber theme on my car. Plus my 3 year old baby girl loves all the carbon fiber, so it makes it all so worth it, LOL.
Enjoy!

Wow, 15 views and no replies yet.
j/k, it's all good... great news is that I found a Honda dealership about 3 miles away from my house AND they had 2 '08 blaze orange metallic fits in stock (both automatic), so I traded in my '01 Solara coupe and purchased the BOM Fit.
I'm so tempted to mod the Fit but will probably just keep the thing stock with the exception of maybe a few minor carbon fiber mods (like the emblems and all). Besides my limited modding budget (marriage and children will definitely do that to you, LOL) is primarily focused on modding my BMW, so it's all good.

Congratz on getting your new Fit, it will be a excellent daly driver..BOM looks so good with dark colored rims and carbon fiber accents so nice color choice!
Your Bimmer is so clean, it looks like you have done a TON to it.
I love the BBS wheels!

Oh, if anyone here on this site either owns or plans on purchasing a BMW and are interested in knowing what sort of mods are available for BMWs, feel free to ask me... I've been a member on e46fanatics.com (AMAZING site dedicated to BMW E46 ('99-'05 3 series) owners who are really into modding) for the past 7 years and I can at the very least point you in the right direction.

Cool, they make alot of CF stuff for the Fit including hoods and hatch's, yes you can buy the whole rear hatch in CF!! Its really cool, but costs a arm and a leg!
I love Bimmers and i really love the new 1 series in particular, i cant wait to see those on the road!

Yeah, the 1 series is GREAT... I just wish BMW brought the 1 series hatchback here to the U.S. But the new 135i (twin turbo 1 series coupe) will be INSANE given that it uses the same engine as the twin turbo 335i but is LIGHTER than the 335i.
Dumb question but when you say "hatch" that's basically the equivalent of the trunklid on sedans and other non-hatchback cars, right?
Yep... first time hatchback owner right here, LOL.

Yupp your 100% correct, its the part that lifts in the back of the car..
I love CF aswell, i just dont have alot of it because of the cost lol...
I loove the 1ers price too, starting at 28600$ for the 128i, gotta love that price for a brand new bimmer!

CF Brembo 14" 6 piston BBK (courtesy of my sponsor, Vorsteiner who custom wrapped the silver calipers in 2x2 twill weave CF)
Double sided CF Vorsteiner hood
Hood underside (note the yellow/red/silver CF in the V logo)
CF Interior
CF steering wheel (made by AC Schnitzer but now discontinued) - I found and bought the last brand new steering wheel in the world which was sitting in a display cabinet all these years at their U.S. distributor's shop collecting dust, LOL)
CF engine bay mods (including CF strut brace, CF battery terminal cover, CF cabin air filter cover, and CF Gruppe M intake)

The whole modding experience for me has been quite humbling to say the least. I'm very lucky to have been selected to a major show car team called Eurowerkz and to have competed in car shows (luckily managed to obtain 1st place trophies in 3 of the 6 car shows that I showed in), plus the BEST part of competing at the car shows is all the people I get to meet that come and check out my car - gives me a chance to tell them why I mod with carbon fiber (because my heart is partly mechanical and made of carbon fiber) and I get to stress to them the importance of maintaining good heart health. I've owned my BMW for the past 7 years and I've modded little by little each year (I've spent close to $30k over 7 years). It's all been worth it though because I've made my BMW unique and now I can sit back and just enjoy my BMW (and enjoy my new Fit as well!)

Thanks for the kind words! I'm very thankful to be alive (survived 5 major, life-threatening open-heart surgeries since my birth almost 34 years ago) and one way I show my appreciation is to mod my BMW with the same material (CF) that is literally keeping me alive.
Here's a couple of more pics from my recent magazine photoshoot (probably my 2 favorite pics - one is a motion shot, and the other is with my baby girl (my greatest pride and joy in my life! I honestly believe that some higher being kept me alive thru my 5 heart surgeries so I could live to see the day that my baby girl was born (3 years ago!))
I had to get one pic with my little girl and her green "Baby BMW", haha! Those are HER 1st place car show trophies by the way, LOL. I put them there with her permission of course.

Sorry for not responding to your message sooner (must have missed it)... I've actually never heard of JSpek, so I've definitely not posted on there.

Looking good, Tyler!
By the way, is there a way to multiquote messages so I don't have to have a separate post for each reply but can do one post containing multiple replies? Just wondering.
