Fit Modding on a budget?

So i just got my fit and i'm absolutely stoked. After upgrading from a vw bug with a 1300 cc engine only pulling about 65 hp the 109 is like heaven for me. Anywase after owning and working on my bug for a few years i'm feeling the same itch for the fit. I'm wondering what would be a good couple of mods to start off with, i did splurge on the sport model with the sport tires, but standard exhaust still, so what would you reccomend i focus on for a little bit more power without sacrificing to much of the gas mileage, i'm not looking for an extreme 400+ hp track car or a lowered completely modded show car, just a few simple mods to get a little more power and a little bit of an ego boost.

Well, you can never go wrong with a good intake, header, and exhaust setup for simple power gains w/o too much pain. Pick the right parts and you could probably gain a good 8-10hp at least...... Personally, and some may disagree, even on a budget try and buy the best quality parts you can. You're better off having just a few really good, trouble-free mods, than a bunch of cheapies that cause grief and end up being more expensive in the long run. Definitely check the Fit Trix section here for ideas and advice.

mods

T1R Voltage stabilizers seem to be a worthy add on. I don't have them, but I'mmlooking forward to purchase them for a smoother, more power, and gas saving ride.

those are somewhat useless. um. next thing i get probably rims. nice looking rims go a long way. and after probably T1R 50S Sport Exhaust. which is somewhat pricy.. but intake and exhaust get total of 10 hp more. which is pretty good for a small car. if you want another 10hp, then get J's Racing Header and T1R Forged aluminum Crank Pulley. ..

intake $400
exhaust $700

header $500
pulley $200

around those price. so around $2000.
but really.. i dont know if you change your header, might void your Warranty. i am not sure.

I recommend getting some light weight 15's or 16's (12lbs - 14lbs). Acceleration will be increased and mpg will stay the same or may increase slightly.

Strut bars go a long way towards changing the dynamics of the ride too.
Tanabe has some good deals.
If you want to do it on the cheapest? Just wait for some used deals.

wow, this is some good advice, heh the only asthetic thing i've done to my car so far is my little dashboard buddy in my sig... but i'm planning on going with the skunk2 exhaust, the t1r intake. next i'll go with the rims then the headers, i like the mugen ones but 700 bucks is way outta my price range right now. i can live without strut bars and rims for a while. just mainly looking for hp and performance

T1R 50s exhaust is better than skunk2 exhaust. intake and exhaust get total of 10hp!

is that just what they say or has it been dyno'd, because as far as i've been told, as long as the bore size is close or the same, the exhaust will leave the cat just as well in one or the other. i admit the blue titanium tip looks sweet, but are the two that different in the aspect of performance and power vs asthetics

some reason my editing isn't working, but looking at the two exhausts, the skunk2 has a 60mm bore while the t1R has a 50mm bore, now the problem is does that 10 mm still allow for good exhaust flow without either having to large a bore (60mm) and having it pull air back in, or to small of a bore(50mm) and not taking full advantage of a larger bore? if someone has dyno results of the two and how they stack up against eachother that would be awesome
