CVT Drive Pulley Speed Sensor Circuit p1885.
hello guys
I am getting a p1885 error code on my Honda fit. the vehicle cant drive in D ,but can only reverse. When i put it in D it simply revs but wont move. The problem started suddenly when I had just pulled off from a high way. Can this problem be fixed or i have to replace the whole gearbox?
Please help

I have exactly the same problem. The problem started 1 week after transmission fluid change. However, this issue happens only when the engine is cold. The gears will try to engage and you can feel the car trying to move forward, but it will fail to engage. If I accelerate, it behaves as neutral, and the D light start blinking, and the error code P1885 is obtained. In my case, I have to wait 5-10 minutes so that the gears engage, and I can drive normally. But the problem will happen again when the engine is cold. I am also trying to find a solution for this problem. It seems that this guy is having the same problem too:

And he rebuilt the whole transmission:

I have EXACTLY the same problem. After changing the fluid my car just won't move directly from a cold engine start and I have to wait for minutes before the car goes to drive.
Have you got the solution good sir?

Hello, I had exactly the same problem, with the engine cold the car would not move, after warming up, it returned to normal, my problem was resolved only after changing the fluid in the CVT system, the model I have is an EX 2005, In other words, the fluid is still from the first generation, it happens that some mechanics use second generation CVT fluid, and this causes confusion in the gearbox sensors, due to the temperature and consistency of the fluid. Before opening the exchange (which is not cheap), try this solution out. Hope this helps.
