I got a price to Tint my windows as per Quebec regulation. (I am from Quebec). I have no clue how much this is suppose to cost and if the material is good quality.

• 200$ Canadian tax in which is 14% here (about 181$ USD tax in the days)
• Include Hatch, 2x back window darker and 2x front less dark (I do not remember the % we are allowed here). Anyway it is the same price what ever tint % I pick.
• They do that in 45 minutes.
• They are using Sun Guard material.
• The dealer actually uses them to tint windows, but it is cheaper if I go direct, plus I could get it done a lot sooner.

This is not expensive, it sort of scares me because of it. They apparently even remove the door panels to do a good install so that the film is not damage when the door goes up and down.

Any opinion on this guys?

How many people are on one car to tint it in 45 minutes?!?!?

I paid 230$ tax in to get 9 windows tinted, plus the windshield banner. Took the guy about 1.5-2 hours. I chose 35% Llumar ATR.

IIRC in Québec the legal tint limit is 70% in the front. Likely close to that tint level with the factory tinted glass.

 

The tinting place is www.dr-tinit.com (only french sites)
All they do is tint windows, they do that for many different dealers plus they do direct and they tint office windows etc....
That's all they do, so they may have many people on the car at once.

230$ for 9x windows, it seems you paid less, where did you go for this ?

Anyone knows how does Sun Guard compare with Llumar ATR ?

 

Paid $190 US yesterday for 20% tint on my Fit including front windshield strip..Took 3 guys less than an hour to do the job...Looks awsome....
