Question Windsheild tint suggestions?

Anybody want to give me any suggestion on what % should I tint my windshield? I have a 2011 honda fit, black. The back 3 doors are 15%, front two windows are 20% and 2 little windows are 35% and I have a visor tint that's 20%. So Im' thinking of doing the windshield tint this Thursday? Any suggestions honda fit-fans? Please let me know. Im open to all suggestions, pictures of your own, or someone else's. Let me see some and hear some before making a decision.

are you talking about the top 6" or the whole front? i'd advise you to not do the whole front, aside it from being illegal in almost all states it's also super dangerous to drive with it applied. yes it'll block heat and glare from oncoming light sources but it's not worth putting yourself or others in danger.

I second SieGunso's opinion. Although a tinted windsheild looks better, it isn't worth it. I have a friend who drives a mustang, pretty stock, and he tinted his windshield. That lasted about a week before he got pulled over, received a fat fine, and had to have it removed; not worth it :P

Although I do like the 6" tint strips, do that. Or, even, consider having a windshield banner of your preffered color with a decal on it. I don't know, just some ideas :3

Ice, Legal tint % varies per state. You're going to have to find out whats legal in your state.

and the 6 inch strip is very functional- highly recommend.

To be honest, I don't know. When I purchased the car, the previous owner tinted the windows. I'm going to guess somewhere around 30% or 25%.

The picture just posted is a good example of the windshield tint strip. It blocks the sun in the middle of the day, and looks sexy. Also highly reccomend!

As for air blue tint....perhaps he is suggesting the tint is veryyy light, to where there is a noticeable difference in light coming through the window for you, but not too noticeable while a cop passes by you haha. Just my guess

Air Blue is a tint that is clear with a bluish hue to it but still has the cooling and UV protection as standard tint. From what I've read it has an orange peal type of look that takes a little getting use to. If you go with the Air Blue please let us now how you like it.

I went with 3M Black Chrome BC35. I'm no fan of super-dark tint as it just isn't practical, but the windshield does let in a prodigious amount of heat and I felt like it had to be reduced somehow. It's a 35% tint so it's still really usable at night.

Airblue is the tint color that closely resembles the blue-ish hue from the Mercedes dyed windows. the number after is how much light would be passing through the tint 80 being 80% light through, 50 being 50% light through. of course the lower the number the less transparent the tint becomes thus becoming a bit harder to see.

Wink Happy with Blue 80!

I decided to go with the Air Blue 80 Tint for my windshield, tbh, i don't regret it. It looks sleek more, even the guys who did my car took pictures. They were like "Your fit looks sleek and sick, man". I love it! Anyone think so?

Nice, BUT only cops are allowed to have on front windshield. here in Florida.
Will be interesting to see if anybody has had their insurance deny coverage of accident when installed on windshield and if cops are giving tickets.
