Body Work
I am one of the unlucky owners whose front bumper was drilled by the dealership. Now working with American Honda and the dealership to get it either repaired or replaced.
In talking to a few different places, it seems like repairing it wouldn't bring it back to its original look and durability. I think i'm going to have it replaced completely. All body shops get the unpainted bumpers directly from Honda. They then apply their own primer, paint and clearcoat. It seems as though the suppliers of the paint differ from shop to shop.
I need some help in getting the absolute best quality job done. Also, since the color is BOM, being a metallic color, it would be more difficult to match. I'm not paying for this out of my pocket, so cost put aside, can everyone please suggest where to go, and if any known shops use OEM paint? It seems like the OEM touch up paint is manufactured by PPG.
