Removing fog lights?

I'm trying to separate my fog lights from their bezel to paint them but the screws are seized on there and I've sprayed them with penetrant and tried as hard as possible without stripping the screws and I just can't get them loose.

I tried to fit grip pliers around the screw heads but it was too tight of a fit to work well enough to get anything going.

How have you guys done this? Any help would be appreciated.

P.s. they're off the car, just want to make that clear

You can paint them pretty easy with the lights still attached. I have done mine twice without taking them all the way apart. I use painters tape to mask off the lense since it is easy to put on and take off, if clearance around the bezel is an issue just turn the adjustment screw until you have the gap you need. HTH

I have to remove them because I'm going to try to repair a lens. I thought about just painting them as they are but I don't feel like taking them apart later just to fix the lens.

unfortunately I don't have any tips on getting them off other then be careful. I was separating mine and the screw heads on both lights snapped right off.

It could be that the pivot screws aren't meant to be removed, if those are the ones causing the trouble. Maybe warm the plastic with a hair-drier/heat gun to loosen the hold on the screw first?

I'm sure it would be safe to assume that everyone who's taken them apart didn't wind up snapping the heads off the screws.

The screws aren't tight against the plastic as the whole light moves freely. So many people have done this so it's kind of shocking I haven't gotten a response from anyone who didn't break the screw heads.

I was able to take off the other screw holding the lens in place so I guess I can just rotate the light and fix it that way and then just cover it up while I sand and paint the bezel.
