The Fits dirty butt
Now every one knows how the back of the fit gets very dirty especially at the tail end of winter . Has anyone noticed any difference when they have changed spoilers (i.e. spoon, J's, fabulous, etc.) or even if some one has a lx/dx compared to the sport? Or are we doomed to always have a dirty one????

You will be surprise it is even dirtier inside the butt! I was doing rear undercoat. When I took the bumper off, the rear beam has so much dirt and sand inside. It looks like the car was driven on sand dune before.

Having a dirty back end is just one of the perks of having a hatch back, I was also wondering though that if a different spoiler would make a difference or not on how dirty the back end gets.

I would think that any and all aftermarket spoilers would make it either worse or just keep it the same. The back of the fit is not much more aerodymanic than a brick . If you could/would make a rear spoiler and bumper that would in some way extend slightly inwards towards the rear badge it would probably reduce some of the deposits and quite possibly as in probably increase your MPG's.
One of those old aftermarket spoilers that angle slightly down in the rear that scoop and or bend the airflow downwards might reduce it a bit. But I have not seen those in years and I only noticed them on SUV's.
If you intend on experimenting keep us posted

The garnish only protects the bumper which is not metal. We would be prone to more swirl marks there if not cleaned properly. The hingest might get more dirt in them leading to maybe some tiny rusting issues but definately not worth any worry. IMH(of most H)O.

maybe we need some more hp to out run the dust

Problem is that there is no air flow away from the car, just buffeting.
If we replace roof spoiler with something like mazdaspeed 3 has, we might cure it. We need a spoiler that will give down force, but allow directed flow of air down across the back window in between the car itself and a rear wing, just like some SUV's have. In wet conditions, air flow would make water droplets sheath down off the glass and in dry prevent dust from sticking.

Back bumper would still collect most of it though. Tailgate garnish of JDM style would cure that.
Don't bother with those stick on airflow generators: www.airtab.com - The smart way to cut the cost of your highway fuel costs They have been tested independently by engineers and do not help nearly as much as they claim.

older blazers had that wind diffuser on the back portion of the top of the car. made the air move faster over the back.

Dude mudflats are straight up JDM neccessities. I wish Honda made them for the Fit Sport. I would have them no doubt. Serious +1 JDM points.
