Stupid question maybe, but can you paint a CF hood to match the car? Are some of the hoods coated and able to be painted?

 

yes you can paint any cf part. some brands come with a clear coat, other brands come with a gel coat. seibon has factory clear coat that is really well sprayed. i dont know if spoon has started to clear their carbon fiber but everyone i know that has had spoon cf parts complain about the lack of clear coat and how the gel coat becomes discolored. but they probably do that for a few grams of weight reduction.

 

Hmmm. Is there a big weight difference between the CF hood and the factory hood? I might think about doing that if I could paint the hood.
