Does it inherit Civic Rust?

Does it inherit Civic Rust?
Okay, so maybe this makes me pessimistic, but after owning 2 civics (ef & eg) with "Civic Rust" I just have to ask.
Does the Fit have venting in the rear fender areas to keep condensation from rusting them out? Did Honda learn after all those generations of civics or did the Fit inherit "civic rust?" Anyone know? I just have this image in my mind of a Fit with Civic rust...
I also noticed that Honda has a 5 year warranty against rust.
Thanks...

I too an curious about rusting on late-model Honda vehicles.
My Fit is my first Honda so I don't have any experience to draw from. I have noticed many Hondas with wheel=well rust and I am wondering if they have addressed the problem in recent years.

A moderator (Claymore) deleted my other thread for being "redundant". Nevermind that the thread far more replies and views in the main forum and this one seems to be a little out of place here.
Oh well, someone in the now-dead thread mentioned that post-2000 Hondas seemed to have the rust problem taken care of.
Another poster mentioned I should consider rust-proofing.
Anyone else with post-2000 Hondas had any rusting problems? Can anyone confirm that Honda does things differently now?
Is it necessary to worry about rust-proofing? I assume like most car manufacturers, Honda does some type of protection to the undercarriage.
I drive on roads treated with salt when snow storms hit and don't want to end up with a rust bucket in a few years. My 2002 Windstar has no rust to date and seems to be standing up to time on WV roads pretty well.
Thanks,
JKR

Thanks. I was just wondering. I'm not worried about it or anything, I just wondered if Honda had gotten its act together since I've owned 2 hondas with wheel well rust. That's nice to know. Thanks JKR and doctordoom.

depends on wehre you live, and how much the weather is at fault....
living on the ocean side, and near a beach, of course you will have rust...
if you live inland, then doubt you will have problems.
