J's Racing Header Install

Just got my header from AJ-Racing after hitting up their "summer specials" deal in the vendor section!

https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-...-part-2-a.html

I'm currently running with a Megan Racing header(nothing wrong with it) but after a little bit of overtime I decided to blow some serious $$$!

Sorry about the ugly tablecloth in the pics!

After cutting the box open:

Well packaged with Japanese newspapers(I'll read them later in the bathroom! ) and bubble wrap:

Shot with E3200

The important stuff! J's Racing Header an a couple of gaskets:

Some measurements for those that care:

Top notch welding job everywhere! Ooooooh Aaaaaaaah!:

Badges? We don't need no stinkin' badges?!?! Just kiddin, yes I do!:

Sweeeeeeeet!!!!!!!:

Initial Impressions:
- Wow Nice!
- I can't wait to get this thing installed! Hopefully this weekend.
- Can't wait to get the rest of the J's Racing exhaust....Titanium baby!!!!

Stay tuned. More to come.

I'm interested in your impressions once you get it in. Also, are you selling the Mugen one?

If I had a Mugen Header, I don't think I would have purchased a J's Racing Header.

I do currently have a Megan Racing header on my car, and yes it will be for sale cheap very shortly but I may already have a local buyer.

Aw sweet, you got it! I've been wanting to see up close pics, and it doesn't disapppoint. I take it you put in for the exhaust already too? You're gonna love it, and together with the header -- oooooooooh nice.

(BTW, sorry for no pics of the exhaust yet, it's been raining non-stop here since Friday )

About the exhaust - Yeah, just waiting for AJ-Racing to answer their phones! I've been trying since Friday afternoon. Was there a holiday in Canada or something? Hey Ben? Dickson?!?!?! Helloooooooooooooo???

EDITED TO ADD - Got off the phone with Ben, I just have to wait for a B-Pipe and Muffler to show up at their shop then it's off to New York!!!

I think they went down to seattle for hot import nights. That header looks great.

I could give a crap about the pretty colors. Basically wrapping the headers is bad for a street driven car as explained here:

I am completely messing around lol. But that thing is pretty.

I remember seeing a guy on ephatch getting a white spray on his header. and it was able to be touched with the bare hand it worked so well. Knowing you wouldn't do that, but just saying.

There are coatings available if I wanted to send out the header to be treated but my wallet is hurting pretty bad right now!

JETHOT The Hottest Header Coatings! Jet-Hot, jet coat, hot jet, headers, coatings, sterling,Header coating, Ceramic coating, corrosion protection, Metallic Ceramic Coatings, MCCI, metallic ceramic, exhaust coating, performance coating, temperature re

I thought the exhaust is barely visible to look at! IMO, if you are into purely performance then wrap the header or get it coated, otherwise don't.

Just got my header back from Jet-Hot. I had them do the "extreme sterling" finish on it.

More info about that in this thread:
https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-...er-coated.html

Now to finially get this thing installed................
