VAFC II tuning.

Hi All,

I am running my GD3 MT with Vafc II for some time now.
plan to further tune it without changing it. understand that it can change the engagment point of the vtec. if i am not wrong my current setting it to engage it at ard 3k rpm. will it be better if i push it to 2k?

any suggestion?

Thanks in advance.

The vtec engages at 3500 rpms, then both intake valves are open. Its set up that way for fuel economy. Changing it to 2k is a little to low, because the engine cant over come the low torque and you would only waste gas. You can change it to 3000 and see what happens but with out a different cam, I see of no real advantage. Honda motors like to rev and usually the vtec is set later to take advantage of higher rpm where the torque band is. GD3 Honda Fit Jazz VTEC Full Review

The only way to accurately change vtec engagement is on a dyno where you can see the engagement and power curve... Too high, bad midrange, too low, no torque.
