Breather tube Vs. Breather Filter?

Breather tube Vs. Breather Filter?
I have the T1R intake and right not I've got a tube that connects to the factory breather tube for the crankcase.(I suppose)
I've seen people opting out of connecting that to their intake and just installing a small conical/cylindrical filter to it.
I think I might try that but am not sure about how to plug the hole left from the tube?
Am I rambling here?
What do you think Forum?

That is the inlet tube for crankcase ventilation, meaning going into the engine. The PCV valve restricts its exposure to vacuum in the intake manifold but it is always passing some amount of air in that direction.
Some vapor can be pushed out at full throttle operation due to pressure leakage past the rings but IRL it's minimal.
If you can hook up a tube to the intake, that's the better route as well as the most legal one; if you can't, and use a breather filter, you're only going to leak about 1/1000 the vapor of the farmer's 8N down the street.
