Well for a Roots style SC I'm not really sure anyone has made great #'s for a Honda...

you are right doug...i have seen the power gains for their superchargers on civics and they were i guess OK...but the kit itself cost alot...hopefully Mugen comes out with theirs at a decent price...LOL decent price

"great numbers" is subjective. comptech's pushing close to 300whp on RSX-S, as well as JR. thats already too much for daily drive imo. s/c's are good for reliability and some decent gains without the turbo path. if u want "great" numbers, turbo that bitch.

TRD's centrifugal s/c for the scion tC puts the car only 40-50whp over stock. is that "great" enough to be mentioned? RSX roots puts at least 100whp over stock. TL/TSX Eaton blower puts at 50-60whp.

I dont think the mugen sc is gonna be a decent price most likely more than the car to make it work

I'm really not in need of big numbers. I'd like to have 130-140HP or so and it seems like a JR supercharger can do that with not so much boost that reliability suffers. I don't want to build a new bottom end and I don't want to go drag racing. I just think that real world fun driving (squirting out of corners!) depends on torque and superchargers bring that in a way that turbos don't. I also don't think the 1.5 is really going to respond to fiddling with cai and cat back mods with any significant gains. I'd rather spend $3k on one big change than mod and test and mod and test endlessly to gain 12 HP with $1500 in aftermarket experiments. I imagine I'm not alone.

I'm not saying the SC is bad... Just say the price is crazy high for such low #'s... I mean look at the Jackso SC for the D16Z6... High price for not alot of power... Greddy TDO5 Kit is only $1,800 for more power...

well of course its gona be little power, look at the platform they're working with. a 1.5L single cam, cant expect much out of it. u can do that, or move onto a better platform, ie. k20a2 swap for a bit more. u can find whole k20a3 engine/tranny for like $1000 if u dont want to go too extreme.

Is this the spoon fit you mean?

I think it makes less hp than stock (tested in latest Sport Compact Car)

Sort of a sad tale. Sounds like the one in CA has been in progress for MONTHS with no success. I was really puzzled as to why we wouldn't see more JDM swap options done overseas but it seems like most of the mods are done for appearance. (Blame the VIP trend?) We're all excited about a small, lightweight Honda for tuning potential and FUN but I'm a little worried that the Fit engine bay might be too cramped...
Somebody re-assure me!

Spoon Fit = 'to go faster add lightness' 500# less than stock. Just shows again what Spoon does best: Endurance racing.

Thumbs up

Saw in one of those monthly tuner mags that Jackson Racing is planning on having a supercharger kit for the Fit ready by THIS FALL. Mr. Jackson himself sounded like a FitFreak--something about the Fit being the new future of tuner Hondas...
Maybe it was just our letters...

So now we wait for a turbo kit or a Comptech charger?
