Im not sure if it would work. I looked it up online and found this on there website:
Q: Is there anything that J-B Weld WON'T bond to?

A: J-B Weld will not adhere to, or bond well to:
  • Any flexible rubber surface
  • Leather
  • Vinyl
  • Canvass
  • Polypropylene plastic
  • Polyethylene plastic
Idk if the intake is made out of either of those plastics.

You might be able to try the plastic cement used for model cars and stuff. The regular stuff (not the non-toxic type) may be strong enough. Word of warning though, it can soften the plastic a little when drying and could warp just a little bit.

If that didn't hold, I'd just bend a small L-bracket from strap aluminum and rivet it on to hold the tube tight, sealing with Hondabond or something similar.

I'm not sure what else really works for plastic.

I do a lot of Slot Car mods. I would suggest JB WELD. It is hard when set. Failing that good old Duct Tape eh.

I would plastic weld it, or find someone in your area that plastic welds.

You can also buy kits online, as they come in handy when other interior/exterior plastic crack issues arise.
