the megan mid-pipe is a few bucks cheaper than aspec's. as far as i can tell they're both the same design and both hang low. i went with the megan brand because i'm a cheap mother-effer.

for the OP.. PB blaster, get some! it'll make the job so much easier. WD40 won't do a thing to help loosen the exhaust nuts/bolts. after letting the PB blaster soak in for a few minutes i still managed to gash my knuckles removing the bolts near the cat., be careful in that area - hope you're not a bleeder

Ya I was planning on getting some clamps or fabbing/welding a custom bracket to weld to the underside of the car somewhere to hold it up higher. If I do that, though I might have to get some insulation to keep the heat from melting the carpet or something lol. I doubt it actually gets that hot, but I'm paranoid o_0

And x2 on the PB blaster. I had to use a LOT of it near the cat and a 36" breaker bar to loosen them sombitches up.

I pulled mines up as far as it could go without hitting anything and it's still noticable from the side. I'm actually gonna sell mines and put the oem back on. Less noise plus I can go lower without getting stuck lmao. I got stuck on an alignment machine once because of the resonator.

anyone try cutting off the resonator and putting a smaller one on? or just converting it to a straight pipe?

From what I can tell my Aspec midpipe sit higher up then the Megan.
The piping on my Megan muffler is noticeably bigger then the piping on my Aspec.
