O2 sensor bung for wideband
Hey guys
I need some info on the O2 bung for a wideband application. Is the bung the same as a regular O2 sensor bung? Where can I purchase it? Can I take it to a muffler shop or a welding specialist? Where is the bung ideally placed?
Thanks a LOT

yes the bung is the same for any 02 sensor and it has to be welded on.
google it and find a site that sells them. the can be found for $1.99- $5.99. atpturbo.com has them but i think that $5 is too much...add in shipping and youd be paying $10+ for it. i forget the other sites that i saw it at.
IMO, best location is near the second o2 sensor. but where ever you choose to put it, make sure there is at least 4" of clearence so the o2 sensor doesnt hit the undercarriage or heat sheild.

Also, make sure that the sensor is angled about 15 degrees above horizontal. This is to keep water from collecting at the sensor during cold starts. My AEM manual suggested ~36" from the turbo outlet, but BEFORE any catalytic converter you may still have. Cats will screw up your readings bigtime.
