not pointless for me. and alot of people do it for the sound, not the power.

My car got quieter with adding the turbo and test pipe. I used to have a loud droning sound with I/H/E without test pipe, but I think the reason why my car is not as loud is cause of the turbo....

But when I floor my car and the wastegate opens its quite loud hehe..

Test pipe is not going to gain any power in NA form on L15. I lost power. L15 is just an inferior engine. It was designed for economy and it should be kept that way.

Adding a b-pipe results in a lose of back pressure? Hmm

I know u did the HKS turbo, but did you just bolt the kit on and let it be? The base kit installed only yields around 130whp.

I wouldn't say its slow and inferior. If you put bigger injectors, get a test pipe, increase the boost, and retune you should be able to put down around 170whp/160torque. Thats more power than a K20.

I put down 170whp/164ft lbs on a Dynojet at 6psi where a K20 can only get about 165whp/120ft lbs. I'll be around 190whp/180ft lbs this spring when I increase the boost and retune to 10psi.

i just installed a test pipe last weekend.

the car revs much nicer. smoother revvs when accelerating. make sit much easier to shift and rev match. and when letting off the gas to coast, it doesnt feel like a sudden deceleration.

at the moment, this is the only mod on my car, and i would recomend it for even a NA car.

much. but its not the loudness that i would be concerned about...its the raspyness that you will get from removning the cat.
sadly loud and raspy go hand in hand when it comes to NA hondas.
