i didnt think a top mount would work cause of the engine movement under torque conditions.

an aluminum heat shield all the way around the exhaust half of the compressor would solve all the heating problems.

I was wondering what versioin of the F/IC you are running and which .hex files you are using? I just ordered mine and was hoping for some pointers from someone who has it in their ride. I got boomslang to make a custom harness for me so i won't have to cut/splice the harness.

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

oh cool that you got boomslang to make you a harness, it should be an easy install then.
im using the F/IC 30-1910 version.
AEM is always releasing FIC software every few months to improve small things. when you get yours, install the newest software version 3.04 you can download it for free here:

i was looking at the boomslang website and for them to build a harness adapter from the greddy ultimate they need to know what obd series the oem harness is.

they give the option of the obd1, obd2a, obd2b. i wanna know which obd2 harness it is?

just tell them it's for a honda fit, there are no other honda fits out there with different wiring harnesses, so you should be good.

Thanks for the info. Have you noticed any problems losing maps with the F/IC (meaning reverting to factory settings) when the car is turned off and then re-started?

No not at all, to tell you the truth, i have never had a single problem with the FIC the whole year that ive had it in my car. If you have all the wiring wired up correctly and the right software version installed then it shouldn't give you any problems.

nope it's a harness for the AEM F/IC. Boomslang made it and they can make one for the e-manage also. It is not listed on there site i sent them an email and had it custom made. Very reasonable price for the craftsmanship and time saved for me wiring it up. 250 shipped. Not sure what the price for e-manage is.
