Weapon R Secert Weapon Intake setup

So I just got the the intake in and I was wondering how you guys routed the 'cold air' tubing? I tried routing it through the hole by the headlight but it seems to be too small. How did you guys do it!

any pics would help. i think you have to move some wiring to make it fit or maybe grind out the metal to make it fit or you can crush the round tube to make it more oval to fit.

you can buy longer duct hose from an auto parts store. if all else fails dryer duct hose works if you wanted to get all DIY with it

Picture time!!!

So the problem was the "ram kit" WR supplied me with did not fit the hole (by the intake/near the driver's headlight). The ram kit was too big and I could not fit it without some elbow grease.

Here in this picture is how the intake sat normally. I was stumped how that ram kit was going to fit through that hole.

With some elbow grease, I moved the intake and the filter around. Flattened the ram kit a little and it all fit.

wow. looks good. if you want a ram air effect take out the drivers side fog light and put the end of the hose in its place. you can expect even colder temps and more air ut you run a slight risk of hydro lock if its raining alot.

I will. My race header was a piece of crap!

petwhookie; Id suggest removing that ziptie and the duct away from the airbag sensor.
Even thought it tapping against it shouldnt be enough force to cause the airbags to deploy I wouldnt risk it.

FYI the Ram air kit is a Universal Kit... It was made to allow you to place it where ever you wanted..

I would tie it up somewhere else.. BUt it does come with a bracket which you can use to mount the scoop in the front grill where it will get more airflow..
I did one on a fit.. was'nt as hard as you make it sound.. Maybe because i do this all day everyday.. Also i cant understand why i got Gains on the DYNO and you feel nothing... Are you Granny Shifting?? Or shifting at 3000RPM? Im not trying to knock you.. just a question.. I get people calling sometimes who shift at 3000rpm and say i dont feel anything... I mean how can you... You shift at 3000rpms...
If i can be of some help in the future just PM me... Im here to help..
