Exedy Stage 1 and 2 Clutch Kits Available Now!!!

Not sure if this is old news, but I know I never found any info on the forum yet...

So I was searching for a clutch for my Turbo'd Fit.. I contacted Exedy in hopes to hear that they are going to be offering something other than the OEM replacement clutch that they already have.

Here's the email reply I received from those lovely ppl over at Exedy USA.

Adam, Thank you for your interest in Exedy products. We do offer a stage 1 and a stage 2 clutch kit for the Honda Fit. The stage 1 is part #08807 and is rated for 128 ft/lbs of torque to the wheels and the stage 2 is part # 08954 and is rated for 160 ft/lbs of torque to the wheels. Our torque ratings assume a 20% driveline loss.

+1 rep for me?

Rep indeed my friend!

Good catch! I can't believe there aren't more replies to this. A stage 2 clutch sounds like exactly what I need... Stage 2 clutch, 75A motor mounts, and a boost controller set to 10lbs plus a pro tune at the local performance shop...

I've gotta start working more overtime. I (stupidly) thought I'd be happy with 6psi.. 200whp here I come!

LOL.. boost is like a drug.. you can't stop wanting more!

You've pretty much got the same goals as myself for future mods.. all I have left to get is the Stage 2 clutch kit... i've got the mounts and controller already.. and I'm going to a local shop to get my car tuned.

It will be great to see how well we can put the power down properly with this clutch... I wonder what the stock clutch is rated at in terms of torque to the wheels...

i bought my fidanza flywheel from ultrarev.com i believe several months ago. put about 6k miles on the flywheel so far and is holdin up great as far as i can tell ;] love it.

if you do order the fidanza flywheel from anywhere make sure it is in stock! when i ordered mine they were out, and fidanza was also out and had to manufactur it. took a little over a month for me to get mine.

she must have really burned that thing up lol. i destroyed my clutch, but my stock flywheel was in perfect condition(still replaced with fidanza's tho). stock flywheel is sittin in my garage in case i ever need it, haha, so heavy compared to the fidanza.

Dude I don't know how you pulled that off.. My clutch won't hold 2-3 or 3-4 shift into boost at 6 psi! I have to have my foot all the way OFF the clutch before I gas it or sometimes it won't grab.

You dont need to open the tranny. just unbolt it from the motor and remove it.
