Same Issue
I have not yet done the grounding kit, however my cruise control also stopped working. The "Cruise Control" light in the dash comes on, but the one to the right of it...I forget the title since it won't come on now (lol)...does not come on when I press the Set button and CC obviously doesn't work. I'm no electrical novice, so I'm more than happy to try out any ideas. I've done A LOT of aftermarket electrical additions to my vehicle, so the possibilities are endless.

Fix!
Sorry it's been so long for a response, but I found the problem on my fit. I had installed an after-market horn. The horn shares the relay with the Cruise. The new horn blew the relay which also killed the Cruise. The relay can be found in the control box under the hood. There are four in a row and the one you want is second from the front of the car.
