Powder Coating valve cover? heat resistant?

Powder Coating valve cover? heat resistant?

i was wondering if anybody knew if i powder coated my valve cover would it reduce the amount of heat that it gives off right now?

which valve cover are you looking at cuz the '07 fit valve cover isn't plastic.

I assume you were talking about the intake manifold cover?

the valve cover is metal or aluminum. but the engine cover is plastic.

iirc, some fits/jazz's in other countries dont come with an engine cover

Much like previous users have mentioned, powder coat will unfortunately not help reduce the overall heat that is given off by the valve cover. However, if this is something you truly are looking into doing, then I suggest researching high heat exhaust coatings. As not only are they usually offered in a Satin Black, or Charcoal Gray Metallic but will significantly help reduce surface temperatures.
