b18c swap

the B18 is a good engine for the fit. someone did it in the philipines and it was pretty badass. it is a lighter engine than the k20a with just as much (if not more) aftermarket support. remember though, any engine swap is illegal in the usa unless the engine is out of a newer car than you are putting it into.

ugh, man. you need to think before you talk sometimes.

you can totally do that and everything would be legit.
but good luck finding an engine out of a brand new honda for cheap.

B18C is a good engine, and a lot cheaper than a K20A/K20A2. But it's not CA legal to swap into a new Fit. The only "legal" B18 Fit in CA would have to be an imported 2001 Fit with a USDM 2001 ITR motor. But that is a lot more trouble than it's worth.

The B18 would be great. It is a good motor, but there would be more custom fabrication. The B18 was ahead of it's time, so it's not at all like putting a steam engine in a Mustang, more like putting a last gen celica motor in an Elise. (Oh, they do that already?!?) I'd actually like the R18 from the current Civic. We could have an additional 30 ish HP and more torque, while keeping or improving the mileage.

Wow, you work for and advertise for SPE and this is how you treat people on forums? Whether you feel the question was valid or not, that's a surefire way of guaranteeing that you never get their business (and other who are put off by your attitude). Might sound harsh, but it's sad to see retail reps act this way.
