T1R header and B-pipe
#2
I have both; great combination
Some notes; you have to re-use the old crush gasket for the header and I think you need to find some matching nuts for the spring bolts as the T1R B-pipe does not have welded nuts on it. Also, the heat shield for the header can not be used after.

what does the heat shield do?

Yeah sorry, heat shield above the header. It doesn't fit back on afterwards, I find it adds a lot of unwanted extra heat into the engine bay. Long term header wrap is not a good idea, there are some spray coatings available but probably the best way to deal with it is to improve under hood air circulation. Then again, if you are just doing the header don't worry about it.
One other thing, have an air impact ratchet handy for those bolts on the back. Some of them are pretty painful to take off and just getting a breaker bar on them is tough. Expect bloody knuckles if you go that route
Meh, they are tucked in behind the back of the engine anyway.

i wouldn't care about a heat shield anyway if you buy nice headers i would like to show them off lol

did you have an increase in noise with this combination? I had a medallion touring on my old civic, and it was quiet but when i added a toda header it was so loud i could barely stand it.
in short, i want to modify my car, but i want it to be quiet...

My car feels like it has practically no power at most of the low RPM thanks mostly to my CAI, I didn't really notice any difference in low end power with the exhuast system (I put the header, B-pipe and 50S exhaust on at the same time)... but for the record it is great It really feels like you have to wring it out to get into that juicy upper power band, makes it a blast to drive. The power honestly feels exactly like my old turbo Isuzu... oddly enough I can even hear the hiss of air from inside the car now thanks to the weapon-R manifold and the CAI.
I emphasize Feels Like because I am sure it hasn't lost over a stock fit. It just feels that way compared to the huge upper gains I am experiencing.
I am throwing in a UR pulley kit to try and bump up the initial response a bit.

I run with the 50S and the silencer in, it is a bit on the loud side in the high upper RPMs, but nothing compared to most exhuast systems. I had some friends that helped me install the setup and they were joking about how my car was going to sound like a bumble bee after it was in.... they looked a bit disappointed when I revved it up afterwards. It gained a deep bass quality to it, but really wasn't that loud.
The stock cat in the Fit seems to do a pretty good job of dampening any noise from the header.
If noise is your concern I would say this is a great setup to consider for getting some extra power out of the car without attracting too much attention or getting that exhaust drone when you do highway driving.

hell yeah, i wanna hear your thoughts about the T1R header because thats a part im REALLY looking into buying. other than the "soon to be" added parts...you car is basically stock isn't it???...so your results will probably be VERY similar to what i could expect...ive only got a Mugen Drop-In right now, that and my muffler is off.

installation took around 2-3 hours for both
there is some burning smell....
the sound is deeper but louder, the mid-high gain is noticeable =]
(my setup is T1R header + T1R Carbon Intake + T1R B-pipe + HKS hi-power)

yeah, Mike's right. The burning smell is normal and will go away after awhile BUT you will notice the smell of gas if you roll with all 4 windows down and you're at a stop.
To answer the the "loss of power at low RPM's" question, I can honestly say that yes, I have lost some lowerend power with the test pipe* but my car pulls much harder now from 3k RPM and up now that my exhaust is free flowing....then again, I am boosted.
Note: have the Spoon bpipe (same diameter as the T1R) along with the T1R test pipe.
