Problem with Modacar Exhaust

I've had the modacar/SSR catback exhaust for about a year and two months. Just recently, the metal hangers for the axle-back snapped off of the canister, leaving a nice neat hole on both sides of the axle back.

I have called modacar about this problem and they've agreed to ship me a new one. However, I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem with the exhaust or anything similar?

I live in B'ham, AL, and we had a temperature fluctuation for some time. It would go from 70 to 30 degrees F back and forth for days. I know it sounds crazy, but it does happen around here. Anyways, I was wondering if the crazy shift in temperature would cause a break such as that.

Another thing I wanted to comment on is the modacar customer service. They've been very nice but have also had a lot of delays in working with my problem. Every time I call to ask if something is done yet, they'll tell me it'll take another 3 or 4 days. While they are nice people, I do have to say speed is not their best quality.

yeah mxgt89 has em but he has a obx twin loop rear canister matted to the modacar mid-pipe so i don't think he'd have that kinda hanger problem.

Hey poet-
Good quality of materials and welding would not make your problem possible in ANY air temperatures. It sounds to me as if the weld of the hangers to the muffler canister was not done with the proper fluxing agents to prevent oxidation. Oxidation occurred, which allowed the weld joint to fracture during the expansion and contraction of the exhaust system in ambient air fluctuations and heat generated in the exhaust system. Your failure is due to manufacturer's lack of quality control.

I had a missing hanger from mine, but it was that way when I got it.
It was on the 1st piece though, after the cat.

I changed my muffler after installing the exhaust. The hangers are deff pretty cheesy on the exhaust.

UPDATE: They sent me the new axle-back finally. Took a total of about 2 weeks, but finally got it.

BUT IT DOESN'T FIT ON!!!!! omfgz. the bolt holes don't line up the way that they are supposed to.
